Odin mode
Odin is the Samsung proprietary alternative to Fastboot.
This method will allow flashing a custom recovery and will provide root access to the device.
For the use of the Odin security bypassing method, the phone needs to be in Odin mode.
To enable Odin, key combinations need to be pressed, such as Power + Volume Down + Home. Different combinations are used depending on the type of Samsung device and instructions are shown within
This method writes to the system permanently. You need to have an unlocked bootloader and by unlocking a bootloader, it will delete all data of the device. Therefore, unless the bootloader is unlocked already, this method is not suitable for forensic procedures.
Flashing custom recoveries may void the warranty and trip the Knox Warranty void flag!
How to
On the main screen click on "Security Bypassing".
Choose Generic profile.
Select “Connect Odin”.
