Supported applications
Due to the growing number of supported apps in Forensic, we have introduced a dynamic online database where you can easily find any currently supported app, what kind of data you can expect to see in each app, make requests for new support of any app and report that analysis of an app is not functioning correctly.
The “Supported Apps” database is recommended as the best way to find information about apps or report on apps because the information is communicated directly by, and with, our developers.
The database of the supported apps is available at https://apps.mobiledit.com/.
Sort and search
At the top of the page, you sort and search for applications based on what you want to find, there is a free text search available as well.

The database
Below the search filters, you can see the complete list of supported apps, supported platforms and supported data types that can be analyzed. There is also an option to see more information about the app by clicking the button.
Extraction Types
After clicking the “i” (info) button, under the heading “Extraction types”, you will see what method is necessary to use to extract ALL of the supported data types listed as available from the application.
It may still be possible to get “some” data from the application without using those methods however, it may be limited to shared data like media which can stored outside the application sandbox.
If no methods are listed under extraction types, all of the listed should be available for extraction and analysis.
Example: Android
Example: iOS
Within the online app database, you can directly request support for any application to be added to the list of supported apps or, report that app analysis for a particular app is no longer working.
