MOBILedit Forensic Preview

Overview

Preview Mode is a free, limited edition of MOBILedit Forensic designed to let users explore the interface, workflows, and reporting capabilities without needing a full license or connecting a physical device.

It is automatically available to users who register via the User Portal and download the application.

Think of it as a safe sandbox, you can click everything, break nothing, and still walk away understanding how the tool actually works.

What’s Included

Preview Mode comes preloaded with sample datasets so you can immediately start working without any setup.

Preinstalled Data Sources

• Android backup

• iOS backup

• Garmin backup

These datasets simulate real forensic acquisitions and allow you to:

• Navigate analysis modules

• Apply filters

• Generate reports

• Understand data structure and artefacts

What You Can Do

Preview Mode is intentionally designed to be useful, not just a demo.

Explore the Interface

• Full access to the MOBILedit Forensic UI

• Navigate all analysis modules (Contacts, Messages, Apps, Files, etc.)

• Understand workflow from acquisition → analysis → reporting

Analyse Data

• Work with real structured datasets

• Use filtering (Time, Text, Location, Contact – TTLC)

• Review parsed artefacts across modules

Generate Reports

• Create reports in supported formats

• Explore report configuration options

• Understand how outputs are structured for investigations

Limitations

Preview Mode is not intended for live investigations. Some key functionality is restricted:

Device Interaction

• ❌ No device connection (Android or iOS)

• ❌ No live acquisition or extraction

Getting Started

1. Register via the User Portal

2. Download MOBILedit Forensic

3. Install and launch the application

4. Open one of the preloaded backups

5. Start exploring analysis modules and reports

To unlock full functionality, including:
